Pastor Wilson Deaton

wilson_smile.jpg - 18.7 K Pastor Wilson Deaton has been with Kenosha Family Church from the beginning as our founding pastor. Having pastored in the Church of the Nazarene for over 11 years, he moved to Kenosha in January, 2000 to plant a new church. His training includes a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Philosophy from
Olivet Nazarene University and a Master of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary. He also participated in a week-long, "Church Planter's Boot Camp," conducted by the Church Multiplication Training Center.

In his spare time, Pastor Deaton enjoys writing and has been published in more than a dozen periodicals including: Decision, Group, Herald of Holiness (Now Holiness Today), Come Ye Apart, The Preacher's Magazine, Light and Life, and Church Administration. He has also written a novel, titled, In Our Midst.

Pastor Deaton believes in volunteerism. He is a certified tutor of Basic Literacy and ESL (English as a Second Language) and volunteers through the Kenosha Literacy Council. He spends time each week working mostly with ESL students. He has also trained for and volunteers for the Kenosha Hospice Alliance.

Robin

robin.jpg - 17.4 K Robin Deaton has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Olivet Nazarene Universtiy. She is an active part of the ministry team with the specific duty, among other things, of handling our worship music.
Robin is Special Education Teacher at Trevor Grade School. She is also taking Master's Classes on Special Education through Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee.

Chelsie

chelsie_cactus.jpg - 11.2 K Chelsie, born in 1987, graduated Valedictorian from Indian Trail Academy in the Business/International Studies. Chelsie was an active member of the National Honor Society, and the ITA Bible Club. She was receipient of the Kiwanis Award for Academic Excellence, and was voted by her peers as Most Likely to Become a CEO.

She is now a freshman at
MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas, where she is a missions major with an eye toward an eventual career in compassionate ministries.

Landon

wilson_smile.JPG - 95.6 K Landon was born in 1990 and is now an active student in Kenosha's Bradford High School. As a drummer, Landon plays for our worship services at Kenosha Family Church and also plays with a developing rock band tentatively titled, "To Die For." He enjoys cycling, skateboarding, video games, computers and being with his family and friends.

Landon is also very active in the drama department at school. He has performed in Westside Story, Aida, and Beauty and the Beast. He is looking forward to peforming Aida at the International Thespian Festival this summer.

Landon is also in choir at school and is very active in the church youth group and participates in the p4G Puppet Team.
