BIBLE & LIFE TEAMS

What is a Bible & Life Team?
A team is a group of people working together to reach a common goal. In the case of our Bible & Life Teams that common goal is for all team members to find joy, excitement, and meaning in a growing relationship with God.
How does a Bible & Life Team work?
The team meets together on a regular (usually weekly) basis. The goal is for the team to study the Bible together with the help of their team leader. The basic idea is to bring the Bible and our lives together. As team members ask questions, share thoughts, and discuss the truths they help each other see how the Bible applies to their lives. Team members also support and encourage each other, and without being judgmental, hold each other accountable.
How is a Bible & Life Team structured?
Each team has a leader who organizes and maintains the team and leads the Bible study at the weekly team meetings. The leader also serves as a “team pastor” to the team members. Each team will also have a leader apprentice who is preparing to become a team leader. Lastly, each team also has a host or hostess. The host(ess) provides the location and takes care of related details. Sometimes the leader or apprentice wil also serve as the host or hostess. A healthy team will have from three to twelve members.
Can I invite others to come?
We hope you will. We do, however, want to maintain the dynamics only possible in a small group. If a team grows too large we will "multiply" it into two groups. Who knows? The day may come when you want to become the leader of a new team.
Where and when do the Bible & Life Teams meet?
As each new team is formed a time and place convenient to that particular team will be settled on.
